Elvi Nasution is a self-confessed “nerd” when it comes to energy issues. From the power sector and private-public partnerships to clean-tech and mining, her interests and expertise span the gamut of projects big and small. After stints at the World Trade Organization and the World Bank and a number of years in the private sector with corporate giants such as Lukoil and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Elvi is now applying her many years of international experience to new challenges at home in Indonesia.
In addition to her new post here as Chief Representative at French bank Natixis, her current obsession is to help find low-cost solutions to the country’s enormous energy needs and at the same time improve efficiencies while reducing carbon emissions. She will outline some of her ideas in her talk on “A Clean Energy Future for Indonesia.”
