Ahmad Djuhara believes in the power of architecture to transform the lives not only of those who can afford the best but also those who deserve the best they can afford. He studied architecture in Bandung and later set up an architecture firm with his wife Wendy, also an award-winning architect.
He is active in a number of architecture organizations and a founder of the Green Building Council Indonesia. His residential projects have provided beautiful homes for the poor out of recycled materials while his commercial projects also have been recognized for their innovative use of space and materials. In his talk “Dream Homes For Those Who Never Dreamed of Owning a Home,” Djuhara will show how so much can be done with so little.
